MOI UNIVERSITY ACQUIRES A TRAINING AIRCRAFT |
Moi University has acquired an aircraft from the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources (Department of Resource Surveys and Remote Sensing) to be used for training of Bachelor of Aero Science and Operations students. Moi University becomes the first institution of higher learning in Kenya to offer Bachelor of Aero Science & operations and to own an air craft. The aircraft was delivered at Eldoret Airstrip by a Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources (Department of Resource Surveys and Remote Sensing) official and was piloted by captain Wachira and captain Lynda Chemuttut.
The event comes a few days after the university was awarded ISO 9001:2008 Certification by the Kenya Bureau of Stanndards (KEBS), launching of a University FM Radio (103.9 FM) and celebration of 25 years of Education, Service and Technology.
