BBM degree is composed of the following specializations:

  1. Accounting
  2. Finance and Banking
  3. Risk and Insurance Management
  4. Marketing
  5. Purchasing and Supplies Management
  6. Human Resource Management
  7. Business Information System
  8. Micro-Enterprise Management

Admission Requirements

To be admitted to the programme, a candidate must satisfy the minimum admission requirements of Moi University, as stipulated in the Joint Admissions Board for the programme, for the year. Mature age candidates may also be admitted if they have at least five years work experience in a reputable commercial/administrative organisation and either:
  1. Have a diploma in Business Management (with distinction or credit) recognised by Moi University Senate.
    OR
  2. Have at least a C+ in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education plus at least CPA I or CPS I Certificate.
Examination Regulations

The general rules and regulations governing assessment/examinations and supplementary/special examinations of Moi University shall apply.

General Structure of the BBM Degree Programme

The degree programme covers university-wide courses, division common courses, areas of specialisation courses and electives. To qualify for graduation, a student will be required to pass a minimum of 168 units. A student is required to register for at least 42 units in each academic year. This includes all courses designated as university-wide courses, divisional common courses, areas of specialisation and elective courses.
