MASTER OF BUSINESS MANAGEMENT (MBM)

Introduction

 

This programme seeks to equip the students with specialized skills and an understanding that prepare them for managerial career in private and public sectors of the economy. The Master of Business Management programme is designed to cater for students who have had undergraduate studies in business through formal academic training.

 

Objectives


The MBM programme seeks to offer the students an advanced training in business and management in general and specific skills and knowledge in the student’s area of interest.


The specific objectives are:

  1. To provide an advanced knowledge in the key areas of business and management.

  2. To instill a professional and problem–solving attitude in the practice of management

  3. To enhance self-confidence and the ability to evaluate business experiences from an academic and practical perspective.

Admission Requirements


The general rules and regulations governing admission to postgraduate programmes of Moi University shall apply.


A holder of a Bachelor of Business Management (BBM) degree of Moi University with at least an Upper Second honours degree or an equivalent degree from a recognized University.

 

Course Duration


The Masters in Business Management (MBM) will run for two academic years (four semesters).
To be awarded the degree, a total of 58 units of coursework, examination and thesis must be successfully completed.


Exam Regulations


The Common University regulations and procedures for Master’s examination shall apply.
