SCHOOL OF EDUCATION

MODE OF STUDY

Regular
This mode is generally for undergraduate students admitted to the School through the Joint Admission Board(JAB) and are expected to attend classes during the day. These students are located at Main Campus and Chepkoilel Campus

Evening Programme
This is an undergraduate programme offered under the Privately Sponsored Students Programme (PSSP), which started in 1998. In this Mode, students learn during the evening hours and are located in Eldoret West Campus. For the Science based programmes the PSSP students are integrated in with the Regular students and learn during the day. The following programmes are offered:

  • Bachelor of Education (Arts)
  • Bachelor of Education (Education Science)
  • Bachelor of Education (Technology Education)
  • Bachelor of Education (Guidance and Counseling)
  • Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood and Primary Education)
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Education

School- Based
This mode is specially tailored for teachers who are unable to secure study leave and those willing to learn during the school holidays (April, August and December). It has also attracted fresh from high school applicants. The mode is for the following programmes;

  • Bachelor of Education in Guidance and Counseling
  • Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood and Primary Education
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Education
  • All M.Phil. Programmes

Two-year Mode
This only affects students in the Department of Technology Education with higher National Diploma who join the programme in the third year of Study subject to taking some courses offered to the first year and second year students.
