Master of Philosophy in Energy Studies
The programme is designed to allow a research or design oriented specialization. There are common core courses to all the options, optional compulsory courses and elective courses in each option. The following definitions apply:
- Common Core Course: One that must be taken and passed by all the M.Phil students in the programme.
- Optional Compulsory: One which must be taken under a given option and which needs not to be taken by students in the other options.
- Elective Course: One which the students freely select according to the area of specialization or option and must be passed.
The courses are qualified in terms of units, where 1 unit is the contact hour of lecture or two contact hours of tutorials or three contact hours of practical work per week of every week for one semester
A student entering in the M.Phil programme in Energy Studies regardless of the option shall be required to do the following Common Core Courses
