MISSION

The mission of the Department of Information Technology is to conceive and design courses that enhance and support effective organisational information management. The department considers effective management of information assets and resources as critical to successful organisational performance, innovativeness and competitive edge.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

The department aims to produce individuals capable of:

Designing, evaluating, integrating and implementing effective information systems and services.

Exploiting existing and emerging technologies for the competitive advantage of the organization

Integrating internal and external information and data in support of informed corporate decision making.

The employment record in Information Technology (IT) organisations, both public and private, has been impressive.
