MOI UNIVERSITY LAUNCHES 103.9 FM RADIO |
Moi University has launched a new educational FM radio station (103.9 FM). The Radio station is based at the school of Information Sciences, Department of Publishing and Media studies. The Radio was officially launched on 9th December 2009 by the Moi University Chancellor Prof. B. Ogot in the company of the Chairman of Moi University Council Mr. E. Mwai, the Vice Chancellor Prof. R. K. Mibey, the Dean of School of Information Sciences Dr. C. Rotich among other senior university officers. The Radio was launched the same day the University received ISO 9001:2008 Certification.
The Radio will be used mainly for educational purposes by the students under the Department of Publishing and Media studies as well as serving the university community and the community leaving around.
