| ACADEMIC PROGRAMMES - BACHELOR OF LAW (LLB) |
The School offers a four-year Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree programme and is currently in the process of introducing Postgraduate programmes, namely; Diploma in Law, Master of Laws (LL.M) and Doctor of Laws (LL.D).
To be admitted for the Bachelor of Laws programme, a prospective candidate must meet all the requirements set up by the Joint Admissions Board (JAB) for the Government Sponsored Programme, and for the Privately Sponsored Programme (PSSP) a candidate must attain a mean grade of a C+ (C plus) and B (B plain) in English in KCSE.
DURATION OF THE PROGRAMME |
The Moi University Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) program is a four year degree course. Upon being conferred the degree however, students will still be required to attend the one year pupilage cum council of Legal Education training at the Kenya School of Law, leading to the award of the Diploma in Law, if they wish to practice as Advocates of the High Court of Kenya.
Senate has overall authority in all matters affecting examinations in the school including the setting, conduct, marking and declaration of results. Senate decision in all these matters in final. Students are requested to familiarize themselves with the examination rules and regulation as have been passed by Senate.
Degree are classified into first class honours, second class honours (upper division) second class honours (lower division) and pass. The degree shall be graded as follows;
