DIPLOMA IN TOURISM AND WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT

Course distribution

In the first year of study, students must take the following fourteen (14) courses: Professional Techniques in Tour Guiding and Administration, Touristic Geography of East Africa, French/German, Tourism Theory, Social Studies, Law, Radio Theory and Practice, History of East Africa, Social Anthropology, Community Based Conservation, MS DOS, First Aid, Driving and Field Attachment.

 

Students will take twelve (12) courses during the second year. In addition, students must take two elective courses, one course each semester. One elective course under wildlife management and the other elective under tourism. Students will undertake a research project and write a dissertation in the third year of study.
