MASTER OF PHILOSOPHY IN FISHERIES

 

Admission Requirements

 

The common regulations for the M.Phil. programme of Moi University shall be applicable. However, the following shall be eligible for registration for the M.Phil. in Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences:

i)              Holders of a Moi University first class or second class degree in B.Sc. (Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences) or other related biological sciences.

ii)             Holders of a first degree from a university recognized by Moi University Senate as equivalent to a first class or second class degree of Moi University in areas indicated in (i).

 

In addition to producing evidence of eligibility for registration, candidates for the M.Phil. in Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences shall normally be required to appear for an interview in the Department of Fisheries so as to determine their suitability for registration.

 

Duration of the Programme

 

The M.Phil. programme shall consist of course work, examination and thesis, normally extending over a period of two academic years distributed into four semesters of full-time attendance from the date of registration.
