he Office of the Chief Academic officer co-ordinates all matters relating to: Admission of undergraduate and postgraduate students, examinations, graduations and convocations, senate matters, students' records and student affairs. The Chief Academic Officer is assisted by the heads of these sections in ensuring efficient delivery of services.
The section deals with overall admissions of undergraduate and postgraduate students into the various degree programmes of the University. In addition, the section deals with issues relating to student loans, bursaries and student disciplinary matters. The section is also a custodian of student records and data and facilitates the student inter and intra school and department transfers.
The section co-ordinates all examinations matters for the undergraduate and postgraduate students of the university who are dully registered as bonafide students and facilitates the preparation of graduation and convocation ceremonies and processing of transcripts and certificates.
The section provides secretarial services to Senate and its committees and keeps all the records of senate meetings. Under the direction of the Chief Academic Officer who serves as the senate secretary, the sections in consultation with the Vice Chancellor arrange all the senate meetings.
In consultation with the Chief Academic Officer the section co-ordinates all matters relating to students: such as student welfare, student organizations, sports and athletics, registration of student clubs, student guidance and counseling services, chaplaincy services, career placements, and facilitation of student disciplinary matters in consultation with the Security Department.
The University Library services provides photocopying, book binding, printing, photographic, darkroom services, internet and telephone facilities, apart from its core function of availing books, reference, lending, collection development and audiovisual services.
