Application for Admission to First Degree

At the moment, admission into all the public universities for regular government sponsored students is conducted by the Joint Admissions Board (JAB). Undergraduate application forms are obtained centrally from Registrar (Admissions), P.O. Box 30197, Nairobi. Enquiries for all courses offered at Moi University should be made to the Chief Academic Officer, Moi University, P.O. Box 3900, Eldoret.

The PSSP Programme has also opened invaluable opportunity for the hundreds of Kenyans and non-Kenyans who meet the University admission requirement but do not secure admission due to the restricted intake through the joint Admission Board (JAB). The programme is aimed at providing an opportunity for Secondary School graduates who obtained the minimum grade of C+ at the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) but are not admitted by the Joint Admissions Board (JAB) because of the limited capacities in the public universities.

Candidates for various programmes in the Privately Sponsored Students Programmes are charged Kshs. 1000/= for processing the application. This amount can be made in a Banker's Cheque to Moi University. Candidates should return their application form with the payment of Kshs. 1000/=

Application for Admission to Postgraduate Degree Programme

Intending applicants should obtain application forms from the Chief Academic Officer or Postgraduate Admissions office at Main Campus or download the forms from the Moi University website. Completed Application forms should be accompanied by a registration fee of Ksh. 2,000 payable to Moi University. Enquiries relating to specific courses may also be made to the respective Deans of Schools.

Loans and Bursaries

Kenyan candidates seeking for admission to the university should apply for loans and bursaries directly to Higher Education Loans' Board (HELB). Financial help may also be given by other bodies, details of which may be obtained from the Chief Academic Officer.

Registration

On admission, each student is expected to fill Students Personal Details form (MUJI/2), Students Entrance Medical Examination form (MUJI/3), Letter of Acceptance by the Candidate (MUJI/1A), Application for Hostel Accommodation (MUJI/1C) and Form of Consent Emergency Operations (MUJI/4). These forms are required either before or at the time of reporting to the University.

Any student who fails to register for courses and does not sign the nominal roll is declared a non-bonafide student.
