1. ELIGIBLITY

  1. Master of Philosophy Degree programmes: Lower Second Class Honours Degree and above in relevant discipline or its equivalent from Moi University or other recognized Universities.
  2. M.Sc. in Immunology: Bachelor of Science degree in B.Sc. Nursing, MBChB, BDs, BVM) from a recognized university or EVH lower second and above with at least two years working experience. Evidence of one publication in related field, Applicants may be required to appear for an interview.
  3. Master of Medicine (MMed): MBChB degree from Moi University or its equivalent from other recognized university, registered or registrable by Medical Practitioners & Dentists Board in Kenya, should have worked as MO for two years after internship. Shortlisted candidates will have to attend an interview.
  4. M. Phil in Medical Education: B.Sc. in Nursing, MBChB degree. EVH upper second class honours with at least 2 years experience in teaching from Moi University or other recognized Universities with at least two (2) years teaching experience in a Health institution or its equivalent. Applicants must appear for an interview.
  5. Doctor of Philosophy Degree Programmes: Master of Philosophy Degree in the relevant or related discipline from Moi University or its equivalent from other recognized Universities.
  6. Doctor of Philosophy in Medical Education: M.Phil in Medical Education or a related discipline from Moi University or other recognized university. MMed holders with a minimum of 3 years teaching experience in a health related discipline may also apply.
  7. Masters in Public Health (MPH): MBChB, B.Sc. Nursing or Lower Second Class Honours Degree and above in relevant discipline or its equivalent from Moi University or other recognized Universities.
  8. Postgraduate Diploma programmes: Bachelor's Degree with a minimum pass from Moi University or its equivalent from other recognized University.
  9. MBA-Executive: A degree from recognized University, or CPA(K) or CPS(K), or Higher National Diploma (KNEC) plus five (5) years working experience at management level.

2. DURATION:

  1. All Masters Programmes will take two (2) years except for Master of Medicine, which will take three (3) years.
  2. All D. Phil programmes will take three (3) years for full time and four (4) years for part-time
  3. MBA-Executive will take one (1) year

3. FEES

  1. All Science based and Arts based M.Phil programmes will cost Kshs. 112,200/= and Kshs. 88,200/= per year for Kenyan students and US$ 5426 and US$ 4634 per year for foreign students respectively.
  2. All Science based and Arts Based D.Phil programmes will cost Kshs.208,075/= and Kshs. 198,125/= per year for Kenya students and US$ 9278 for foreign students per year respectively.
  3. Master of Medicine programmes will cost Kshs. 212,334/= per year.
  4. M.BA (Executive) will cost Kshs. 300,000 (1) year.
  5. M.A in French Programme will cost Kshs. 77,675/= per year.
  6. Postgraduate Diploma will cost Kshs. 74,450 for Arts based and Kshs. 84,000 for Science based respectively.

4. APPLICATION FEE:

  1. Master of Philosophy Degree Programmes: Kshs.1000 for Kenyans and U$ 50 for non-citizens.
  2. Postgraduate Diploma Programmes: Kshs.500.
  3. Doctor of Philosophy Degree Programmes: Kshs.1500 for Kenyans and U$100 for non-citizens.
  4. MBA Executive: Kshs.2000. Application forms can be obtained from Moi University Nairobi office or West Campus (K.P.A.) or downloadloaded from Moi University website at http://www.mu.ac.ke. The course is offered both in Nairobi and Eldoret respectively.

5. LIVING EXPENSES AND OTHER COSTS
In addition to fees, students must provide for their own living expenses, books allowances, field trips and laboratory costs and medical insurance approximated at kshs. 377,000 for Science based and kshs. 365,000 for Arts based programmes for Kenyan students and US$ 6,334 and US$ 5,985 for Foreign Students respectively.
