MOI UNIVERSITY KITALE SATELLITE CAMPUS

The Moi University Kitale Satellite campus is located at North Rift Education Centre (NOREC). In this campus, several degree and diploma programmes of Moi University are offered.

A: SCHOOL OF EDUCATION

Evening and Holiday classes in the undergraduate programmes

SCHOOL-BASED (Holiday) PROGRAMME (April Intake)

  1. Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood and Primary Education)
  2. Bachelor of Education (Guidance and Counselling)
  3. Bachelor of Education (Technology Education)
  4. Postgraduate Diploma-in-Education

1. Entry Requirements

(a) B.Ed Early Childhood & Primary Education (ECPE)
(i) Minimum mean grade of C+ at KCSE OR
(ii) 'A' level with 2 principals and subsidiary pass in relevant subjects OR
(iii) P1 certificate awarded by the Ministry of Education.

(b) B.Ed Guidance and Counselling
(i) Minimum mean grade of C+ at KCSE OR
(ii) 'A' level with 2 principals and a subsidiary pass in relevant subjects OR
(iii) Diploma in Education or SI from a recognized institution.

(c) B.Ed Technology Education
(i) Minimum mean grade of C+ at KCSE, OR
(ii) 'A' level with 2 principals and a Subsidiary pass in relevant subjects.
(iii) Diploma in Education and/or SI certificate from a Recognized institution, OR
(iv) A four year technical education diploma in Electrical, Building or Mechanical awarded by KTTC, OR
(v) A four year technical education diploma with a HND in Electrical, Building or Mechanical from a Recognized institution.

NB: Application for B.Ed Technology Education should have at least a grade C (Plain) in Mathematics.

Course Duration:
All programmes take four academic years except in B.Ed technology Education where an applicant may be admitted in second/third year on the strength of the Diploma qualification.

(d) Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE)

Entry Requirements: A bachelors degree from a recognized university. In addition the applicant must have two teaching subjects.

Course Duration: One academic year.

Note: Mode of Study for all holiday/school based programmes: Monday to Saturday 8.00am to 5.00 p.m.

(2) EVENING PROGRAMME

Bachelor of Education (Arts)

Entry Requirements:
(i) Minimum mean grade of C+ at KCSE OR
(ii) 'A' level with 2 principal passes and a subsidiary pass in relevant subjects OR
(iii) Diploma in Education or SI Certificate from a recognized Institution.

Course Duration: Four academic years

Mode of Study:
Monday to Friday 4.30 - 9.30 p.m.
Saturday 9.00a.m - 2.00p.m

Fees:
(i)All B.Ed programmes Kshs.120, 000 per academic year
(ii) P.G.D.E programme Kshs.93, 450 per academic year.

B: SCHOOL OF BUSINESS AND ECONOMICS

Diploma in Business Management

Entry Requirements:
(i) Minimum grade of C- at KSCE level with at least C- in English OR Kiswahili and D+ in Mathematics.
(ii) 'A' level qualification with at least a subsidiary pass.
(iii) Any other certificate awarded by an institution recognised by Moi University Senate.

Course Duration: Four Semesters distributed over two (2) years.

Fees:
First Year (Semester I and II) - Kshs.71,500/=
Second Year (Semester III and IV)- Kshs.70,000/=

C: SCHOOL OF HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT

1. Bachelor of Communication and Public Relations

Entry Requirements:
(i) Minimum mean grade of C+ at KCSE or its equivalent with at least a C+ in English, Literature, Kiswahili and Social Ethics OR
(ii) Diploma in Communication or Public Relations from a recognized institution.

Course Duration: Four (4) Academic years.

Fees: Kshs.120,000/= per year.

2. Diploma in Public Relations

Entry Requirements:
(i) Minimum grade of C at KCSE with a least C-in English, Literature, Kiswahili and Social Ethics.

Course Duration: One (1) academic year

Fees: Kshs.71,500/=

3. Diploma in Human Resource Development

Entry Requirements:
(i) Minimum mean grade of C at KCSE with at least C- in History, Geography, Economics/Commerce and Social Ethics.

Course Duration: One (1) Academic year.

Fees: Kshs. 71,500/=.

Application Procedure
Application forms can be obtained from Moi University main Campus, Eldoret West Campus, Kitale NOREC and Moi University Nairobi Office- Agriculture House 7th Floor.
Completed forms should be returned with a payment of a non-refundable fee of Kshs.1,000 to:
