INTRODUCTION
Information and Communication Technology Centre (ICT Centre) was established in 1998 as IRM
Centre within the office of the Vice Chancellor of Moi University. ICT Centre has benefited from technical and financial support provided through the Dutch MHO, Efficient Management of Central Administrative Service (EMCAS), MIS project component.
MISSION
To effectively conceive, develop, implement, utilize, and manage appropriate information systems in order to provide integrated and coordinated quality ICT services to Moi University in line with its vision, mission and objectives.
VISION
To be a center of innovation in the provision of quality ICT services to Moi University.

OBJECTIVES OF ICT CENTRE
To identify, acquire and install relevant ICT resources and implement the technology transfer University-wide.
To manage operations and maintenance of ICT resources.
To manage databases of information systems.
To train end-users on computer literacy and offer end-user computing support.
To offer technical advise and consultancy on acquisition of ICT resources.

FUTURE PROJECTIONS
ICT Centre intends to fulfill its mission 'to effectively conceive, develop, implement,
utilize, and manage appropriate information systems in order to provide integrated and coordinated quality ICT services to Moi University in line with its vision, mission and objectives' through the implementation of strategic ICT plans in Moi University. To do this,IRM Centre will take full responsibility of ICT management and related functions in the University.
