I welcome you to the Moi University ICT Centre webpage!

In-line with Moi University's ten-year (2005-2015) strategic plan, a major goal of the centre is to provide efficient and effective service to the end-user community at the university on issues touching processing/storage of information and communication.

The centre performs a number of duties including; database management, end-user training and support, consultancy, systems installation and configuration, technical systems maintenance services, software development, Internet services, and maintenance of the help-desk.

The dynamism characterizing the ICT world has put great pressure on both the users and managers of the technology. The center has and will continue championing the recruitment and retention of dedicated and competent staff in order to keep up with technological changes and also attend to all end-user inquiries. Bridging of the apparent technological gap between ICT usage in the developing and developed worlds will not be realized unless we in the developing world make deliberate and concerted efforts to avail requisite technology to the community, the prime agent for change in development. This is but one of the several challenges that the centre faces in its effort to serve the community. To this end, we wish to reiterate our commitment to continuously support the Government in achieving the Millenium Development Goals (MDG's) as well as Vision 2030.

The centre aims at improving its services by, involving the end-users among other approaches. As an end-user, we invite you to evaluate our website and its contents and write to us. Your critical comments and appraisals will help us improve our services. It is my sincere hope that we will become partners in the use and application of this technology, to better our productivity in administration, training and research, and uphold the image of Moi University.
