Administrative Structure of IGERD

IGERD is a coordinating unit under the Office of the Depute Vice Chancellor-Research & Extension and is headed by a Director. IGERD'S mandate includes carrying out research, extension, training, consultancies, as well as engaging in collaboration and linkages on issues of gender and development. The IGERD board is composed of representatives from 13 Schools, Dean of Students' Office, Student Union, administrative sections and a representative of people with special needs.
The board members are avenues through which:

• Information flows to the respective units/Departments and Schools from the Board and to the Board.
• Decisions made by the Board are carried to the respective units/Departments and Schools for action and vise versa.

Deputy Vice Chancellor-Research and Extension is the Chair of IGERD Board.
