Workshop on Online/Blended Learning Pedagogy & Technology



Education approaches in the 21st Century require the integration of ICT in the delivery and access to content. In view of this, the Institute of Open & Distance Learning, Moi University has organized a series of faculty development workshops to assist faculty to incorporate and apply pedagogical and technological approaches to teaching, learning, and course design.

The trainings will be done in four separate tracks each with two sub-themes/topics;

1. Track ONE: ONLINE LEARNING; Pedagogical & Technological aspects of online learning and teaching and Online Instructional Strategies

2. Track TWO: BLENDED LEARNING; Overview and Managing workload in an online course.

3. Track THREE: INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN; Instructional Design Building Blocks and Student Outcomes.

4. Track FOUR: STUDENT ASSESSMENT; Effective Assessment and Test Development Process.


FACILITATOR: Prof. Eunice Luyegu Assistant Professor of Instructional Design & Performance Technology at Franklin University in U.S.A. She has a PhD is in Instructional Design & Technology from the University of South Alabama, a Masters degree in International Affairs from Ohio University, U.S.A and a Bachelor of Education (Arts) degree from Kenyatta University.
