The Learning Resource Centre (LRC) for Schools of Medicine and Public Health, and is the largest academic health sciences library in Western Kenya. It is also the primary information resource for academic staff, researchers, students of both schools of medicine and Public Health, and allied health professionals of Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital.
Its goal is to maintain and develop collections in a variety of media and formats that are of sufficient quality, extent and scope to support the school' priorities in instructional programs and research. The physical facility houses a large medical and journal collection, and has access to 3, 100 electronic full text biomedical and allied health sciences journals through HINARI; thirty work stations and houses tutorial rooms for group discussion , requirement for Problem based learning (PBL). The LRC has a growing collection of databases, videos cassettes, slides, and models.
The Learning Resource Centre special collections emphasises on HIV/AIDS Consumer Health Information and Community Based Education and service (COBES)
