The hospital seeks to develop into a centre of excellence in service provision, education, training, research and development, transfer of cost-effective technology and management systems suitable for health sector in Kenya and developing countries in general by participating and responding to community health concerns in Western Kenya through:
Provision and promotion of high level community based education and training.
Facilitating and aiding first class research and disseminating of results thereof.
Developing systems and technologies for health care in Africa and assisting in their transfer and management.
Provision of appropriate referral and consultancy services to Western Kenya and neighbouring states.
Development of community based health learning facilities in Western Kenya.
