A HIGH POWERED DELEGATION FROM JIMMA UNIVERSITY VISITS MOI UNIVERSITY

A high powered delegation from Jimma University, Ethiopia led by Dr. Kaba Urgessa (President, Jimma University) pays a courtesy call to the Moi University Vice Chancellors Prof. Richard K. Mibey. MU-K_VLIR-UOS Programme through the Programme Support Unit Office (PSU), a unit that coordinates, facilitates and monitors the overall activities of the MU-K_VLIR-UOS Projects hosted a Delegation from Jimma University - Ethiopia led by the President of Jimma University Dr. Kaba Urgessa from 24^th - 29^th January 2010. The visitors visited various projects supported by MU-K_VLIR-UOS Programme in Moi Univrsity.

Among the projects visited supported by MU-K_VLIR-UOS Programme include Civil Engineering Project, Textile Engineering Project, ICT Project, Gender Equity Project, Health Project and Agriculture & Biotechnology Project. The delagation also visited RIVATEX EAST AFRICA Ltd, Directorate of Open and Distance Learning, Kisumu CDC and Webuye Demographic Surveillance System (DSS).

The delegation also held discussions with Moi University management on issues of mutual benefit to the two institutions. The delegates will in the afternoon Visit the following places within the university:
