The university provides medical services at the University Clinics for both students and staff , their dependants , and the sorrounding community on out-patient basis. The University Health Services operates clinics in each of the following three campuses:

Main Campus Clinic: This is centrally situated opposite the roundabout to the staff quarters.

Chepkoilel Campus Clinic: Situated near the Hostels.

Town Campus Clinic: Situated at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital.

 

 


Students are required to produce their college identification card on arrival at the centre for authrntification. Employees are also required to roduce their work ID or any other legal document that can help staff at the registry department identify them.

The following services are offered in all moi niversity health centres
Emergency services
Each health centre is allocated with atleast one ambulance and drivers who are equiped with first aid skills..Incase of an that requires the ambulance, the driver is accompanied by the patient attendant who can assist the casualty depending on the degree of injury. Responses to such calls are immediate. The ambulances are well equiped with emergency handling facilities. See the contacts panel for numbers to use incase of an emergency.
LABORATORY SERVICES
The labaratory is head by a labaratory technologist. Each health unit has a well equiped lab, The unit is trying to keep up with the new technologies among them being sociological, hormonal and chemical technologies. The following investigations are done at the labaratory:
  • Brucelline.
  • Widal test.
  • Pregnancy test.
  • Sexually transmitted diseases (S.T.D) tests.

PHARMACY SERVICES
The pharmacy units are well stocked with all varieties of drugs as per the needs of the patients and the trends of cases reported at our health centres. Drugs are supplied by pharmaceutical companies in conjunction with the ministry of health. The section is head by a pharmaceutics’ technologist.

We have a V.C.T centre that is operational from Monday to Friday  starting from 8:00am – 5:00pm. The section is head
by a clinician with a bias in H.I.V testing and counselling.
