The School of Information Sciences was established in 1988, to offer education and training for the information professions at undergraduate and postgraduate degree levels.
The School, then, established the Desktop Publishing Unit, currently the Moi University Press.
To be recognized internationally as a centre of excellence in Information Sciences.
To offer education and training by developing high-level manpower for the management of information systems, services and resources in the country through practical and development oriented programmes, research, continuing education programmes and community based information activities.
