Mandate

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor in charge of Administration and Planning is the Head of the Division and is responsible for:

• Human Resource;
• Planning;
• Infrastructural Development;
• Asset Management;
• Undertaking any other duties assigned from time to time by the Vice–Chancellor.

 

Departments
The Departments under this Division are as indicated:-

• Central Services;
• Development and Maintenance Unit;
• Human Resource;
• Staff Training and Development;
• Staff Recruitment;
• Health Services;
• Planning; and
• Transport and Garage.

 

Committees
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor in charge of administration, planning and strategy chair’s the following committees:

• Finance, Planning and Development Committee;
• University Budget Committee;
• Graduation and Ceremonies Committee;
• Appointment and Promotion of Junior Level Administrative Staff from Grade 1 to 4;
• Staff Disciplinary Committee;
• Space Utilization and Allocation Committee;
• Staff Welfare, Development and Training Committee;
• Quality Assurance, Compliance and Performance Contracting Committee; and
• Any other Committee as shall be determined by Council or Senate.
