Coding for Employment Design Challenge

In June 2018, the African Development Bank launched the Coding for Employment (CfE) Flagship Program at the African Innovation Summit in Kigali, Rwanda as part of its wider Jobs for Youth in Africa Strategy. By training youth in demand-driven Information and Communications Technology (ICT) curriculum and matching graduates directly with ICT employers, this new Program prepares Africa’s youth for tomorrow’s jobs and unleashes Africa’s next generation of young digital innovators from the continent.

The African Development Bank in conjunction with its strategic partners will establish 130 Centers of Excellence -operationalised with innovative ICT tools and technologies- in selected Universities/TVET centres across Africa to help achieve its goals of training youths across the continent and increasing accessibility to these trainings.

It is for this purpose that the bank hereby invites interior decorators, architects, skilled 3D modelling experts to participate in the assignment tagged:
Code for Employment: Center of Excellence 3D Modelling Interior Design Competition
The activities to be carried out under the assignment include:
1. Design of a 3D model of the interior of the ideal CfE Center of Excellence which conforms to modern design standards yet capturing the essence of the target audience – The African Youth.
2. Provide a document which explains the concept design of the modelled Center of Excellence.
