Call for Application: Scholarship for Master of Science in Energy Studies 2020/21

The School of Engineering of Moi University won a bid for funding of postgraduate training in mechanical Engineering programs by African Development Bank (AfDB) in 2017/18 through the Ministry of Education, Science & Technology for capacity building. However some students did not report. As such there are scholarships available for Master of Science in Energy studies.

 

Therefore Moi University invites applications for admission and scholarship for 2020/2021 academic year from suitably qualified candidates for Masters program as indicated below. Applicants should be currently working in Public Universities, Public Technical Training Institutions, Government line Ministries and State Corporations and other Public  sectors and seconded by their institution's Vice Chancellor or Principal or Departmental Head. The applicant's upper age limit is 35 years. The scholarship will cover full tuitions fees and research support including journals but not subsistence costs.

 

Course MSc. Energy Studies 
Program Goal     Train engineers in research and application of engineering principles in all aspects of Energy studies
    including Petroleum, Energy, Mining, Geothermal, etc.
 Eligibility
  • To be eligible for admission in to the th degree programme, an applicant should hold a bachelor's degree of Moi University or of any recognized university with at least second class honors upper division or equivalent in mechanical & production engineering, chemical and process engineering, electrical engineering, textile engineering, agricultural engineering, physics, chemistry, or any other relevant energy related undergraduate degree
  • Moi University continuing students in this program who have successfully completed course work may apply for research support

 

 Duration       2 years

 

The program is scheduled to start on the 6th January 2020 at Annex, Eldoret town.
