Bashora W. Abdalla, a Moi University student pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in French, has been invited by the French Embassy to a Town Hall meeting to be graced by the H.E. Mr. Emmanuel Macron, the President of French Republic. The Town Hall meeting will be held at Taifa Hall, University of Nairobi.
The fourth year student, who doubles as the chairperson of French Club at Moi University, has been enthusiastic and passionate about the French language and has participated in a myriad of French-contests under the auspices of the French Embassy. His interest has seen him win a coveted excursion to Burundi on linguistic expedition.
He represented Moi University in the Inter-University French Debate Tournament organized by Agence Universitaire de la Francophone in partnership with French Embassy at Kenyatta University where he was adjudged the best French speaker, as a result he has since been selected to represent the country in Madagascar for a French debate involving four countries on 22 March, 2019.
The French President is expected to deliver a keynote address on " Developing knowledge, skills and innovation".
