The visitors from Helwan University, Egypt, arrived on the 4th of November 2019 received by Prof. Charles Lagat (Director, International Programmes, Linkages & Alumni), together with Prof. Elbadawi Gelal (Coordinator of Egyptian Universities Collaboration). They later went to Eldoret Club Hotel and were received by Prof. Simeon Mining (Director, Research) and briefly met with Prof. Isaac Sanga Kosgey (Vice-Chancellor). At 6:00 p.m. in the evening, the delegation attended a Vice-Chancellor’s dinner at 64 Resort Hotel and were welcomed by the University Management. The dinner was attended by the University Management, Deans of Schools, Directors and other key persons involved in the collaboration.
The delegation paid a courtesy call to the office of the Vice Chancellor on Tuesday 5th November, 2019 at 8:30 am and was received by Prof. Isaac N. Kimengi (Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academics, Research & Extension) on behalf of the Vice Chancellor. The Deputy Vice Chancellor welcomed the guests and gave a brief introduction of Moi University and the different programmes that the University offers. The delegation had a brief tour within the main campus of Moi University.
Members of Helwan University delegation was led by Prof. Mona Fouad Attia (Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research), Prof. Mamdouh Mahmoud Mahdy (Dean of the Faculty of Medicine), Prof. Ahmad Mohamed Elgarhy (Dean of the Faculty of Engineering), Prof. Safaa Salah Ismael (Dean of the Faculty of Nursing) and Prof. Sherif Hassan (Vice Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts).
