Vice-Chancellor gets Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID-19 Vaccine

Prof. Isaac Sanga Kosgey, the Vice-Chancellor of Moi University on Monday, 22nd March, 2021 received his AstraZeneca-University of Oxford COVID-19 vaccine at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH).  He was accompanied by the Dr. Wilson K. Aruasa, the Chief Executive Officer, MTRH.


The University aims to roll out the vaccination programme in line with Ministry of Health guidelines with the pilot team being from College of Health Sciences (MUCHS) Staff from Schools of Medicine, Nursing, Public Health and Dentistry working in MTRH are considered as frontline health workers and therefore eligible for COVID-19 vaccination.


Ministry of Health (MoH) deployed the AstraZeneca-University of Oxford COVID-19 Vaccine to Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) which is one of the vaccination centers in the Country. The vaccination drive was launched on Friday, 5th March, 2021.
