Bethany Kids Curtesy Call

Kimengi, Deputy Vice-Chancellor in charge of Academic, Research, Extension, and Student Affairs Moi University on Tuesday 21st March 2023, hosted Mr. Joab Matumbai, Ms. Caroline Gakahu and Mr. Sam from Bethany Kids-Kijabe, a compassionate Christian Mission transforming the lives of African children with surgical conditions and disabilities through Pediatric Surgery and rehabilitation to children with disabilities and other pediatric conditions that require surgical treatment.

Mr. Matumbai said the visit was to sensitize the Moi University community on care and value for compassion with persons living with disability and explore possible opportunities for collaboration.

While welcoming the partnership, Prof. Isaac N. Kimengi said that the only way for institutions to grow is through collaboration in both material and non-material cultures.

The visiting team was accompanied by Mr. Francis Komen, Deputy Registrar Extension and Outreach, Rev. Dr. Eriko Ekitala, University Chaplain, and Rev. Ignatius Sheri, Deputy Dean of Students, all from Moi University.
