Moi University innovation of a Moisture Meter and Cobbed Maize Dryer

2021-10-25 - Moi University, through a collaboration with the University of Kassel in Germany, came up with an innovation of a Moisture Meter and Cobbed Maize Dryer to address the losses maize farmers face during the post-harvest season. The masterpiece invention christened “Etemo Dryer” after the inventor, Dr. Isaiah Etemo Muchilwa, was launched on Friday 22nd October 2021 in Kitale, Trans-Nzoia County. Moi University Business Management Students Association (BMSA) in the School of Business and Economics will be hosting a Leadership Summit on the 19th March 2021at Eldoret West Campus, Directors Board Room, starting at 3.00 pm. The theme of the summit is ‘Nurturing Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Transformative Leadership for Personal and Societal Development’ The key note speaker and the speaker will be Mr. Kiprono Kittony EBS Chair Nairobi Security Exchange. Our Vice Chancellor will open the summit.

Brief History
Moi University was established in 1984 by an Act of Parliament (Moi University Act, 1984) as the second public university in Kenya. This was on the recommendation of a Presidential Working Party, chaired by Prof. Collins B. Mackay, which had collected views from Kenyans about the desirability of the same.
