The VC asked the pupils to maintain discipline and be humble, the virtues he said are key for success.
“Moi University offers very unique programmes and you must aspire to join it. But it is through hard work and determination that you will be able to join the University,” added Prof. Kosgey.

Citing his humble beginning at Lessos Primary in Nandi County, the VC said it was through hard work that he managed to climb the academic ladder to become a full Professor.

“I have struggled throughout my life and through determination and perseverance; I am today a Professor and a Vice-Chancellor. I want to be a good example to you. You can come from a humble background and still rise to become the President,” he added.

He said the University is collaborating with the Uasin Gishu County Government to tarmac the road to the School, connect constant water supply and furnish the library to make it a model Primary School.
